Easter decorations and POLCZ surprise for the sprinklers

With Easter coming up, it's not only time to dress up your sprinklers, but also to prepare your empty POLCZ bottles to welcome your guests. In our latest blog article, we have an unusual, gluten-free sandwich bread for visitors who fulfilled their poetry obligation, and now we're giving them a handmade token to reward their oratorical efforts. These eye-catching, bunny-chick-shaped jars hold small painted gifts, colourful treats and chocolate eggs. If you feel like you've had your fill of yummy snacks, choose our clapper-ear caps, another handy craft replica idea, whether you're a larger family or just getting in the holiday spirit with the kids. ✂

Crafts, traditions, curiosities

Our biggest post-Christmas celebration is not just about the idea of a table full of heavenly snacks, but also about craft traditions. Spring break, increasing sunshine hours and creative folk traditions still favour traditional pastimes such as decorating with bark, cheerful animal motifs or painting eggs with even more crafty skills.

We've reimagined our usual colourful and colourful DIY ingredients and once again reached for our empty POLZ jars to shake into Easter shapes and fill them with festive treats. But before we get creative, let us share a few interesting facts to distract you from the sweet ingredients of the decor you're about to make!

  • The largest chocolate egg was over 10 metres high and 7200 kg and was made in Italy.
  • The world's biggest egg hunt was held in London in 2012.
  • At Easter, more than 90 million chocolate bunnies are produced every year.
  • The very first chocolate eggs were made in the UK, in 1873.

Easter decoration and gifts POLCZ style

To prepare it, you will need:

  • POLCZ bottles
  • matt acrylic paint in white, black, pink and yellow
  • orange - and lemon-yellow, pink felt flaps
  • jute material for the ears
  • paper grass and sweets for the "lining"
  • glue gun
  • brush, scissors

Made like this:

The washed POLCZ bottles are painted with yellow and white acrylic paint around the bottles and caps. It is advisable to apply two coats to ensure good coverage, then leave to dry. While the paint is drying, you can start cutting out the felt elements, i.e. the two pink and jute bunny ears - you can glue them together - and the chick feathers. ✂ When the glass is completely dry, we can add the face details, the eyes, the nose and the mouth/beak. Finally, use a glue gun to attach the felt "body parts" to the cap. Line it with paper towels and you're ready to add the sweet candies and chocolate eggs for the sprinklers.

The cap also has ears

To prepare it, you will need:

  • 3 POLCZ glass caps
  • matt acrylic paint in black and pink
  • pink filclap
  • jute material and jute tape
  • white tassel
  • glue gun
  • brush, scissors
  • string for hanging

Made like this:

This Easter decoration is a great way to use caps in addition to bottles. Brush the cleaned caps with two coats of pink acrylic and leave to dry. Meanwhile, cut out the faces and ears of the bunnies from the jute material, remembering to use felt for the latter. ☝️ When the caps are dry, glue the ears made of jute and felt to the edges of the caps, then glue the round pieces. From here, all that's left to do is attach the bunny's jute ribbon moustache, the white nose and paint the eyes. If you want to hang them on a perch or egg tree, for example, you can also add string! ✂
