The perfect breakfast: #repolcz porridge

"Breakfast is the most important meal of the day!" - they say, but it's definitely worth making time for.
Of course, on a busy weekday, there's no time for all sorts of gourmet meals and big family breakfasts. Then it's "grab a quick bite and get to work". Or even a few bites are left out.

We have good news, you can start these days with a delicious breakfast! And this time we're not going to put the addresses of breakfast places here...

So today's post is all about breakfast, and the focus will be on porridge!
All of this, of course, so you can take it with you, so you don't have to get up an hour early for a good breakfast.

Why do we love porridge?

First of all, it's ready in no time and comes in practically countless versions. Everyone can make it with the "toppings" they have at hand.

It is based on oatmeal, which contains very few calories, is high in fibre, aids digestion and cleanses the intestinal lining. It is absorbed slowly, so it provides long-lasting energy, lowers cholesterol and inhibits the absorption of fats.

Sounds pretty good, right?

The porridge base is basically oatmeal and water or milk, so the ingredients are not expensive.
This breakfast is a sure-fire success, as it is quick, delicious, versatile and cheap.

How should we get started?

The classic porridge base is made with water or milk (you can also use vegetable milk of course), in both cases the oatmeal is cooked in the liquid.
3-4 tablespoons of oatmeal per person, add enough water or milk to cover, cook for about 10 minutes and you have your base.
Then you can "turbo" it, i.e. all kinds of seeds, maybe some crunchy granola, coconut flakes and of course fruit in all quantities.

As mentioned earlier, porridge could be one of the best examples of conscious eating, but it is important to choose your "toppings" accordingly. In other words, if you don't want a gigantic carbohydrate boost for breakfast, sugar, honey, dried fruit and chocolate should be avoided. Or add them in moderation to your porridge.
